Alexandra Schroeder

Alexandra is currently completing a Bachelor of Science, Honours degree in Neuroscience and Biology at Carleton University and she is a volunteer in the Cognitive Remediation and Neuroimaging lab since September 2019. Her research interests include psychiatric disorders, neurodevelopment as well as innovative treatments for patients. She began volunteering at The Royal in 2016 as a Recreation Therapy Volunteer and continues to run weekly recreation groups for residents at The Royal Ottawa Place. Alexandra also has previous research experience as a Research Intern at Carleton University, where she worked on a project to map activated neurons in a mouse model of Parkinson’s disease. Outside of academic studies, Alexandra enjoys baking, travelling and yoga.
