David MacDonald

Dave completed a Bachelor of Arts in German Studies at Dalhousie University in Halifax before training as a Montessori elementary teacher. After a decade of teaching in elementary schools in the United States and Canada, he completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Mental Health at Carleton University in 2018. His undergraduate research focused on the neuroendocrinology of stress, investigating the role of ghrelin signalling in responding to chronic stress. Dave joined CRANILab in May 2019, and is setting up automated segmentation and analysis tools for structural MRI images. In September, Dave will be starting in the Masters of Science, Integrated Program in Neuroscience at McGill University. Outside of the lab, Dave enjoys hiking, canoeing, and improv theatre.
