Emilie Du Perron

Emilie has been a volunteer in Dr. Guimond's lab since February 2023. She is passionate about neuroimaging research and developing interventions for psychiatric populations using multimodal research methods. In 2021, Emilie acquired a Master's in Neuroscience at King's College London, specializing in neuroimaging. She equally possesses a BA in Psychology from the University of Ottawa. Emilie has conducted research in a variety of domains and clinical populations, including child development, behavioural neuroscience/preclinical imaging (animal models), biomarker research and psychiatric/neurological disorders. Emilie is also a research assistant in another Royal lab, the EEG & Neuroimaging Lab, and a counsellor for individuals with acquired brain injuries. She dreams of becoming a clinical neuropsychologist and improving neuroimaging methods in the assessment and treatment of psychiatric and neurological disorders, as well as facilitating research communication towards individuals with lived experience. In her off time, Emilie likes to read books, sing and play video games.
