Jack Shaver
Jack is a full-time research assistant for the Cognitive Remediation and Neuroimaging Lab. He completed his B.A. in Psychology at McGill University in 2023 before working as a Mental Health Caseworker in the non-profit sector in Montréal for 2 years, serving vulnerable populations and individuals facing mental health challenges & homelessness. Following his community-focused work, Jack joined the CRISP Research Group at the Douglas Hospital, and worked on various projects studying the intersections between psychotic disorders, memory, and long-term outcome trajectories of individuals experiencing psychosis. He intends to pursue graduate studies and wishes to balance his passion for research and the provision of empathetic care. When not in the lab, Jack loves sports, nature, and writing music, as he is a singer/songwriter for a local indie band.
