Kenda Parsons
Kenda is a full-time research assistant for the Cognitive Remediation and Neuroimaging Lab. She completed her B.Cog.Sc (2021) and M.Cog.Sc (2024) at Carleton University, where her research spanned many areas of developmental and cognitive psychology. Her Masters thesis focused on language and literacy, specifically investigating French reading and writing skills in English-French bilingual students. Her other research work has investigated future-oriented cognition in preschool-aged children, such as children's early saving skills or ability to think about the future. She is an avid supporter of making research findings accessible and readily available. In her spare time, Kenda likes reading, drawing, trying new coffee shops, and spending time outdoors!
