Ly Sepman

Ly is a Master’s student in the Human Neuroscience programme at the University of Turku. Before moving to Finland, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Speech Therapy at the University of Tartu, Estonia.

She is currently doing her Master’s thesis under the supervision of Dr. Synthia Guimond while collaborating closely with the Turku Brainlab. Her research uses fMRI and activation network mapping (ANM) to investigate the brain networks associated with working memory deficits in schizophrenia. She is interested in whether these emerging approaches can complement traditional neuroimaging analyses and provide new insights into cognitive impairments in clinical populations.

In her free time, Ly enjoys travelling, baking, and spending time with family and friends
