Marianne Lemieux, BSC

Marianne is a doctoral student in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Quebec in Outaouais (UQO). She completed her bachelor's degree in cognitive neuroscience at the University of Montreal (UdeM) in 2021. Marianne completed her research internships at UdeM, which allowed her to gain experience in the field of social neuroscience and mental health. She will carry out her doctoral thesis under the supervision of Dr. Synthia Guimond at the CRANI lab. Marianne's research interests are focused on improving our knowledge of social cognition in individuals with mental health issues in order to improve their quality of life. For her doctoral thesis, she will study the social cognition of young adults at genetically high risk for developing schizophrenia. Marianne has worked as a counselor with many clients with mental health issues over the past three years. On a more personal level, Marianne likes to draw and paint, she loves camping and hiking in the mountains and she loves to travel!
