Rami Al Haddad, msc

Rami is pursuing his PhD degree at IMHR under the supervision of Dr Clifford Cassidy in the Cellular and Molecular Medicine program and Dr Synthia Guimond in the department of Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa. His primary research interests are nuclear and magnetic brain imaging techniques. Rami is working on fMRI investigation of brain activation during trauma evocation and fear conditioning in PTSD, as well as in other neuropsychological disorders. 

Rami completed his MSc at the University of Ottawa working at the Heart Institute on the validation of PET radiopharmaceuticals for heart-related diseases. He completed his Bsc degree in Biology at the Lebanese American University in Beirut. Other than research, Rami is a pianist who loves traveling and trying different foods.
