Yasmine Tiraoui-Elkhoumri
Yasmine is a part-time research assistant for the Cognitive Remediation and Neuroimaging Lab. She completed her Honours BA in Psychology at the University of Ottawa. She underwent most of her undergraduate research at the University's Sleep Lab, where her honours thesis centered on the impact of seasonal migration on circadian rhythms and signs of seasonal affective disorder. She has also worked in the same lab as a research assistant doing recruitment and data collection for a drowsy driving study as well another study focused on improving memory consolidation during sleep through targeted interventions in both healthy older adults and individuals living with dementia. Yasmine is passionate about psychological research and the ways in which research can have real life applications to improve the lives of others. In her free time, you can find her going on hikes or at the gym, enjoying a chai latte, and hanging out with friends and family.
